Aim

Understanding the needs of Chinese learners, SC-TOP hopes to establish partnerships with academic departments/institutes of Chinese language in order to provide related Chinese proficiency test services. The purpose of the project is to propose a collaboration scheme to assist organizations in benchmarking the level of language proficiency of their students.

Partnership

Upon the request of the participating institutes, SC-TOP will provide one set of test booklets and PDF files (TOCFL for Level 2, Level 3, Level 4 and Level 5). The test items mentioned above should be utilized repeatedly during the contract term. Participating institutes can conduct the tests in one of the two test formats:

  1. Paper-based test: CD player and speakers are required.
  2. Computerized test: the following equipment is required:

Hardware: at least CPU INTEL P4 2.0GHz and RAM 1G, Network Card, Sound card, and headphone set.
Software: Microsoft Windows XP SP2 or a later version with Adobe Flash Player plug-ins installed, Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or a later version, and the ability to access the Internet.
