Those who passed TOP for Beginners are considered to have the language ability relatively equivalent to Level A2 in CEFR (The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment). The level descriptions are listed below.

Learners can understand phrases and expressions related to areas of immediate priority , such as basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment, if the other person talks slowly and his/her pronunciation is clear.Learners can also  understand very short and simple texts on familiar matters of concrete types which happen frequently in everyday situation or job-related fields.
