  • Test Format and Description of TOCFL Speaking for Superior

The speaking test at the Superior level consists of two parts. Part One contains 3 warm-up questions immediately followed by test-takers’ responses, which shall run no more than 40 seconds per question, while Part Two includes 5 questions that may ask test-takers to describe certain events, summarize stories and answer questions, offer solutions, or state personal opinions. Answers to the warm-up questions are not counted toward the final score, while those to the rest of questions are scored on a scale of 0-5.
