2011年起，華語文能力測驗將於國內考試採「電腦施測」方式，原TOP初、中、高三等試題題型、題數亦同步調整，更名為進階級、
高階級、
流利級，分別對應於歐盟共同架構（CEFR）之B1、B2、C1，原基礎級則維持不變。
附註：海外各地區之施測，目前仍維持「紙筆測驗」，測驗等級維持為基礎、初等、中等、高等。

Since 2011 TOCFL will be conducted as a computerized test in
Taiwan.
The test format, number of questions, and names of the
three
levels: Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced will also be adjusted
and named as: Learner, Superior, and Master, corresponding to
B1,
B2,
and C1 in Common European Framework Reference for
Languages (CEFR).
The format and structure of the original For Beginners remains the same. Note： Overseas tests are all still conducted in the paper-based
format. The test levels are For Beginners, Basic, Intermediate and Advanced.
